I've realized this before, but it really was driven home at the baptism of our youngest last weekend. Between our family and the godparents we have 16 kids, 1 vocation (so far, out of the two kids who are 18+) and about 15 more years of fertility left. We are a little bitty parish (town population about 200), in podunk nowhere, but between the four families who had kids in the last couple of months we have 30 children. Our priests have not always been especially awesome in their orthodoxy and traditionally are against our traditional leanings. I know that we are not special or unique in any of the above, but as crazy as the Church seems right now, in 30 to 40 years, I think there's a good chance we could have the heresy thing licked.
